Final chance to save schools

by Chris Morris
3/ 9/2008

PARENTS and children are entering the final stage of the battle to guarantee the future of their schools. Three town primaries; Ash Grove, St Barnabas and St Edward’s must present a convincing case to remain open during consultations which begin this Friday (September 5) and run until Friday, October 10.

Ash Grove appears the most vulnerable to closure with St Edward’s and St Barnabas likely to merge on a single site in a new dual-faith school. However, all options remain on the table with any of the three facing the possibility of closure.

I'd definately close Ash Grove. St Barnabas would be second. St Edwards last on the list.
