ANDREW Flintoff has won his battle to build a mansion in Mottram St Andrew after his initial plans were bowled out following neighbours’ complaints.

The cricketing superstar went back to the drawing board and now has permission for a six-bedroom house on Withinlee Road.

Lord Tim, there are such things as planning laws you know. You don't get what you want just beacause you stamp your feet and mention that your family have lived in the locality for a ong time. There are too many Prestbury residents acting like spoilt children already. Past generations of Prestbury residents bought the land to build thier big houses on and pushed out the local farmers / mill workers etc. It's just the bleating of a spoilt minority who've had things their way for too long.
