'We feared our baby's body had been dug up'

Ben Turner
30/ 7/2008

A COUPLE mourning the death of their baby daughter feared she had been dug up within 48 hours of her funeral – after council staff shovelled piles of dirt on top of her grave.

Grieving Samantha Heapy and Craig Beaton are still in disbelief after cemetery workers replaced a mass floral tribute to seven-week-old Miya with mounds of earth while digging another child’s grave.

The buck stops with Bill North on this one. A total overhaul of management, processes and standards is required. Totally unacceptable.

Its about time all staff of macclesfield council started showing some respect to the ratepayers who pay there wages. HOW UTTERLY HEARTBREAKING FOR THIS COUPLE. Mogangirl
