Threat of more school closures

Chris Morris

EVEN more schools than originally thought may have to be axed to keep pace with falling student rolls, a shocking new report has revealed.

A scrutiny panel assessing the Transforming Learning Communities (TLC) process at county hall, said a whopping 1,600 places would need to be removed from Cheshire schools by 2012.

This is good news, what Macc needs is one Super school to cater for all Primary School children. All these higgeldy piggedly little schools here and there are an annoyance (at certain times of day its impossible to drive at a decent pace because of school kids and lollypop ladies)and drain on resources, close more schools, not less, and make 1 decent one.
