Volunteers restore defaced landmarks

AS THE massive clean-up of Bollington’s sacred landmarks continues, police are still searching for the graffiti-daubing yobs who defaced them.

Last week, the Express told how bright orange symbols were scrawled up and down the length of Bollington, and also in Pott Shrigley, appearing on bus stops and bridges, but most brazenly on church doors.

   CCTV should be on such sacred landmarks in a bid to catch future culprits. If they are found the book should be thrown at them.
