Government is drunk on success
Vic Barlow19/ 3/2008
ACCORDING to the Government, 24-hour drinking has been a huge success, as has the War in Iraq and our search for Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Signing the bill of Human Rights was a masterstroke, likewise the management of immigration and confidential data.
The criminal justice system works like clockwork, community service is a huge success and ASBOs are foolproof. The Home Secretary never said the Home Office was ‘not fit for purpose’, police officers patrol every street, and speed cameras only operate for safety purposes.
Examination standards are higher than ever, MRSA is a figment of the tabloid press, the moon’s made out of cheese, there are fairies at the bottom of our garden and Mrs B has a flying pig.
