It's less than a month until Bollington premiers its very first feature-length film, made in honour of the town's annual festival.

And in true Hollywood style, we can reveal a glimpse of the film itself, with the release of a music video featuring its closing song 'Anywhere with you'.

The song is written and performed by Bradley Snelling, from Macclesfield, who also features in the film.

Dad-of-one Bradley, 46, said: “It came about because I'm in the film and we were talking about not having a song for the closing titles.

“I wrote music before moving to Macclesfield so I offered to write one.

“It was really to help promote the film. There's a real buzz about the film but anything that helps generate interest is good.”

Brad, who is festival director at Winterfest and behind Macclesfield's Dead Good Day Out, added: “It's exciting. It started off quite simply and now the song has taken on a life of its own which is brilliant.”

The music video is made up of scenes from the film, plus extra video shot at Eddisbury Hall with lead singer Helen England, who performs with the Screaming Beavers, and Nick Andrew on guitar.

It's one one of four written especially for the film, with the other three written by composer Brian Gresham.

Brian, 63, a retired music teacher from Buxton, got involved after meeting crew members at the Treacle Market.

He said: “It's fantastic. It really has been an opportunity of a lifetime. I've always wanted to write music for films. I've played in bands and things but the idea of sitting in a cinema, listening to my music being played, it's superb.

“It was a challenge, I loved doing it.”

The film 'Two Plans, Two sisters & a Parade' has been filmed and recorded by volunteers over the last three years.

It was an idea by Bollington film maker James Nicholas, 51, who wanted make a film to celebrate the town.

The premier is on Tuesday, May 20.
