A bit about... Clare Wilkie

A bit about... Clare Wilkie
Conrad Astley27/ 1/2006
The first thing I do when I wake up is...
I almost always think of food before I've even woken
up.
Ideally I would spend every day...
Working at something I love to do.
If money was no object I would...
Buy a bigger house. Maybe think about starting a family
although I am not sure that is the right reason. And go to New York
because I've never been to America.
The greatest gift I have ever received was...
Compilation CDs. Love them, they are so
romantic.
My one piece of advice would be...
Never eat anything bigger than your head.
My first job was...
A children's series called Aliens In The Family. I was about 12
years old. Unfortunately my character wasn't that glamorous, I had
to be fitted with braces and my hair was done in a candy floss
style, and I had quite chubby cheeks.
I'm scared of...
Moths, don't know why.
I'm excited by...
Fairgrounds, I love them. Just driving past one gets me
instantly exuberant.
If I could go back in time and do one thing again it would
be...
I guess the main one would be that I was a more confident
person sooner. But they say the mistakes in life make you who you
are today so I'm not so very disappointed.
I love...
Charlie (my flatmate's cat).
I hate...
Confrontation when I haven't got a leg to stand on. And raw
fish, like sushi, smoked salmon.
I want...
A flatmate that's good at washing-up
You have to read...
Have just finished The Buddha, Geoff And Me by Edward
Canfor-Dumas, and am now reading The time Traveller's Wife by
Audrey Niffenegger.
Everyone should listen to...
I love KD Lang's Hymns Of The 49th Parallel. Her voice is just
so amazing and touches me to the core.
You must watch...
The film Betty Blue and another of my favourites is In the Mood
for Love by Wong Kar Wai. The cinematography in that is
amazing.
If I could be anyone else I would be...
I'd like other people's wealth or looks but I think I'll just
work at being me.
My ultimate ambition would be...
To be content with every aspect of my life - is that asking too
much?
My biggest inspiration has been...
The theatre.
The first time I fell in love I was...
Nineteen years old, with a lovely man called Jason.
I think God is...
A great way for people to live by better morals, as is any
faith.
I think the death penalty is...
Wrong...
so wrong.
My epitaph would be...
To everyone who loved her - now she's finally stopped
talking!
Fur or faux?
Faux.
Mayonnaise or salad cream?
Mayonnaise.
EastEnders or Coronation Street?
I have to be honest I don't watch either of them. I'm a Home
and Away and Neighbours fan.
Daily Mail or Guardian?
Guardian - definitely.
Harry or William?
Harry.
United or City?
This means nothing to me. And if I pick one am bound to offend
so I will pass.
Chav or scally?
Hmm... scally?
